NBA...playoffs...game number 1 goes to the Lakers...as you know, I say LA in 6...and I see nothing to change my mind....Kobe is running free...Sheed got a T and was a thug...Gasol dominated inside...Rondo out of control...however, it's supposed to last long so the TV people can make $...so things will change...I'm not saying...no...
Van Der Sloot...you know you are innocent until proven guilty...but, my oh my, this is a sad, peculiar guy...and I don't think he is in a country that his dad can bail him out of...you know this story only gets bigger...
Galarraga...the Tiger's hurler that got robbed of a perfect game by a blown call...the ump moved to calling balls and strikes for the next game...Galarraga took the line up card out prior to the game...moving moment...replay is the solution and too easy to implement...but will the ridiculous czar of MLB make the change?  By the way, GM, yup, that GM, presented AG with a brand new corvette for his feat...
Wooden...the coach of all coaches changed the way the hoops game was played in the modern era...is hospitalized at the age of 99...he coached the likes of Lew Alcindor and Bill Walton...sped up the game...used the full court press...actually brought basics back to the game...and now?  The game is nowhere close to what that was like...mostly pick and roll, and very little up and down...not a fan here...but a huge fan of the legendary coach, John Wooden...
Today is a fun day...taking Bro Bill to Coronado Island via the ferry...then going to see Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum this evening in Chula Vista...

And finally, the Padres start a huge series in Philly...the game of games Halladay vs. Latos...another test for upstart SD squad...
