Deficit

You know this guy?  Probably...he is the commissioner of the NBA...David Stern...and his business is going to lose $400 million this past season...over priced tix, over priced players, inequities in teams, length of season, length of games, unethical referees, bewildering rules, the list goes on and on...when a biz loses that type of $, changes are made to keep it alive...so what's going on?  Well...the playoffs are on now, and there is great interest there...but the series itself is way too long as I have said now for the last month...and isn't it just the same few teams every year?  Is there equity in the league?  Naw...the rich teams can afford the name players and the others suffer for it...think Oklahoma City (Seattle Supersonics) is going to win the championship with Kevin Durant?  Or  will he move on to the Celtics or Lakers, make a gaggle more $, and then, win it...
The fix...according to one article I read...change the shot clock to 20 seconds, no fouling out 'til the 8th foul, create a 4 point shot, shorten the season, enough of this crap...the answer is  a bit of what that says...the owners are very rich people...very rich...and for them to lose $, is like losing it in the stock market...they are not that worried...soooo, if you want change...to get the common man or woman to afford to get to the game...lower the tix price...duh...you're not going to get a shorter season...fugget about it...toughen up the rules...every technical should count as a personal foul...get the game more fast paced...maybe the shot clock lowering may work...make the dunk worth 3 points...well, fugget about all this...the rich owners don't want any of this...it'll just stay the same...it's just a drop in the bucket for them....
Did you watch the Belmont Stakes?  A mile and a half race of 3 year olds...
and a Bill Mott trained horse galloped off with the win...I told you to bet on Johnny V...well he came in 2nd...man, I do love the thrill of the big races...sure is a big difference when there is but 10 horses rather than 17 or so in the Derby...much fairer race...a little more than a month before Del Mar opens, and I am there...
Padres...ouch, getting scorched by a 47 year old pitcher...no excuses, just continued very poor hitting...alas, still hanging onto first...need a win...
Juran van der Sloot is living in very rough waters...
Can anyone catch the kid at the Memorial...especially after Jack Nicklaus made a statement that his swing has numerous faults...21 year old Rickie Fowler...3 shots up on the field...hey, I'm not gonna show his pix until he wins....cuz Jack knows all...Tiger is only 10 back...
Have a sunny Sunday...
