Animal Style

Not what you may be thinking...I defy you to find a better burger, anywhere...cheeseburger animal style from In-N-Out...it's a grilled onion combo that is the best, Jerry, the best...now, there are those out there that say...just get the toasted cheese, animal style...regardless, all fresh stuff, and the bun is grilled to boot...unfortunately, the franchise has yet to hit Orygun...be patient my northern friends, it will come...
Is it that the Blue Jays are a powerful team, or that the Padres are woefully weak?  Toronto won the series with an afternooner win...the Pads manager chose to not replace the month long struggling Kevin Correia after 4 or 5 innings...which led to an insurmountable deficit...???...the kid has been abysmal after his family tragedy and needs a break...c'mon Buddy, earn your keep...on those same lines, the Pads have a day off before the struggling Orioles hit town...just what the doctor ordered...I hope...coincides with my son arriving and all is good...
So it's come down to this...LA vs. Boston...for the championship of the world...NBA style...well, it's pro hoops...and the Celts have lost their guy in the middle to a knee injury...so it's either Big Baby or 'Sheed taking the place of...not a fan of either...no pattern here, but, it is the Laker's night and the city goes crazy around 9 pm...
The US Open at Pebble Beach...did you know it costs $450 to play 18 holes there?  What?  That's $25 a hole!  OMG!  Well, the scribes have a Lefty-Tiger match up...not me...I see Lefty getting a huge win...and... the Brits making a charge at him...notably Lee Westwood...the tourney starts today and I don't miss much of it...
Wait...make that a double-double...animal style...with a diet coke...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
