Panic Monday

My oh my...the panic mode has set in as the hitless Padres got swept by the hated Dodgers...this time 1-0...so all the scribes are talking gloom and doom and how the Pads are beginning their fall from grace...give me a break...fact is they are not hitting...and the lineups are bewildering...they must manufacture runs...by any of their guys...which means even the oh so lazy AGonzo has to lay down a bunt to boot...and on it goes...in comes the SF Giants who we have whupped 6 straight...Manic Monday?
Did you watch your Survivor final?  The winner was Sandra...narrowly beating out Parvati and the rat Russell...so they go all about NY in their post dance routine...Monday, Monday...
The NBA playoffs (booooo) are down to 4 teams (I think) and the Celts won at Orlando for game number 1....now it's the Lakers and Suns in the west...Booooring Monday...
Did you follow the plight of the roids gal Marion Jones?  With all the rage of the athletes that used roids in the last 2 decades...she was the one that went to prison for it...PRISON...hers was due to perjury....she denied it as if all the others didn't....what's wrong with this picture lawyer people?  BS attorney Monday...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
