Earthquake!!!  Not a fan...as we were walking the dog and sat on a rock bench...immediately the shaking began...actually more of a rocking and rolling...very unsettling and scary...as we watched everyone scuttle out of buildings it was for sure...a quake...and there have been a number of aftershocks...it's good we are but on  the 6th floor of a mid-rise...hate the idea of the 25th floor...and to make it worse, there is actually some rain in the area...
Great finishes in the golf world...Anthony Kim in OT in the Shell, and Yani Tseng in the Desert...and now on to the best of the lot...the Masters...high drama with the unveiling of the revamped Tiger...got to admit, it will be titillating....oops
Tonight is the culmination of the Big Dance...with Cinderella losing to the ever efficient Blue Devils...and through all of the previous games...this blogger had these two teams as highly probable winners...Duke...
And finally, it's opening day for the Padres...I have read all the doom and gloom of most everybody about them...OK, folks, read it here...the Pads are in it to win it...they are a playoff team...yup
And in a bizarre trade in the NFL...the Eagles trade Donovan McNabb to Washington...for a couple of draft picks...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
