Varsity vs JV

It was like watching the Varsity play the Jayvees...I'm talking the Celts and the Blazers...the difference begins that there is only one PG in the program...PDX has none, zilch, zero, nada...throw out Camby's 1st game in a new team...he didn't seem too happy being there, by the way...Boston could do pretty much anything they wanted and it was disgusting!  So many faults in the system...did it not seem that BRoy has put on some extra poundage?  Awful game...have I said this before, Andre Miller is a horrible PG...

In the aftermath of the Tiger speech, there are those pundits out there that say his talk was too scripted...OMG, what did you think it would be?  I say he did what he should have...and, more than any politician has ever done...and we pay them!  Hope it works out for him and well, them...

We're hosting a Friends party tonight...and I have to admit...I know pretty much nothing about the show...I've watched it a lot...but it's a mindless (brainless) 30 minutes...anyhoo, I figure I'll come in last...unless, it's a multiple guess thinger...

I have coffee once or twice a week with a group of old Keizerites. Yes, I'm the youngest. The talk is usually sports, gambling, some politics, and old stories. The oldest member,Pat, is over 80 and can't hear very well. he spent most of his life as a professional bookey, he usually falls asleep during sports discussions. Yesterday Tiger was the topic and Pat exclaims after the discussion wanes that, " the only thing I can see that he did wrong was get caught" I love this guy!

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
