The Next Big Thing

He has arrived...the next big thing in the PGA...as Tiger's drama continues (see today's NY Post), the tour is ripe for a taking...and Dustin Johnson is the one...a long, lean hitter, he proved it again winning at the treacherous Pebble Beach...it's a back to back there...he's got all the tools...he will be the favorite for the majors this year...mark my words...

I watched it, but I'm not sure what I was watching...the NBA All-Star game...the East beat the West...as LeBron and Dwayne led the charge...before 108, 000 in Dallas...it was strange...

Can't get into the Olympics...yet the US is leading after a couple of days...

Do you like your Big Love...such a great show on HBO...the plot twists and turns like no other...creeeeeepy segment last night, which made me wonder how real that stuff is....

As we got to our restaurant last night, our server informed us of what they didn't have...seems that they had 700 people for lunch...may have been easier to tell us what they did have...and we were at 4:15...think they were going to have major problems as the night wore on...oops for them...turned out fabulous as I had the lasagna and my companion had the chicken toscano...and the best  '04 White Oak Syrah we've ever had........topped it off with a chocolate raspberry mousse cake...with some coffee drinks...then caught our water taxi back to the Gaslamp and had a great time...Coronado is beautiful...oh, by the way...temp was 78*....

2 days 'til Mardi Gras here....who dat?

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
