The Hype

The hypocrisy of the BSBCS championship is upon us...Alabama won the trophy on the field last night against the Texas Longhorns, the team who lost their starting QB five plays into the game...and then were saddled with a true frosh QB for the rest of the way...the Crimson Tide using an unbelievable boring style of play, coasted from there on in...only the triple option is worse (how'd that go for you Georgia Tech?)....and, I'm not sure Alabama is better than Boise...or Ohio St...or Nebraska...if there were a playoff, that answer would be forthcoming...boooooo
I watched a show about that pair who shot down people in the DC area for like 20 days...how the police tracked them down...very tragic tale...yet, very interesting...
The PGA kicked back up their season in Hawaii...of course, no Tiger...and, I'm not that interested...am I abnormal?
OK, on the brighter side of things, Jay Leno is being moved back to the 11:35 time slot on NBC and bumping the deplorable Conan to the 12:05 slot...I like the move...
The NFL playoffs begin tomorrow and it is good stuff...the wild card games...no, I still don't pick 'em...I just enjoy 'em...
So the NBA put the gun toting Gilbert Arenas on permanent suspension...and let the fines begin...he thinks he's above the law and will find very soon that he's not...
The Clippers beat the Lakers...save Mike D for another year...just why does Derek Fisher still get playing time? He couldn't guard me...
As we get closer to the newest national holiday, Marsha's Birthday, trying to find the perfect gift becomes increasingly difficult, for the gal who's got everything...any suggestion?

Well you look alot better shaven. Probably can get off the no-fly list now. How can the Tide celebrate that victory? Colt McCoy's injury reminded me of the phantom Sony Listen punch _ wtf?
How about Dick Cheney basically blaming Obama for the recent Terrorist activity. He should have been prosecuted and executed for treason. Remember the right screaming treason by the Dixie Chics when they critsized Bush.

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
