Lest we never forget...the tragedy that was hung on this country was as devastating as any since Pearl Harbor...a sinister plot by the worst excuse for mankind...

Of course the mastermind of it was relegated to living out their lives in holes in the earth for the rest of their sorry lives...what a waste...
We were in NY just a couple of weeks prior to the attack, looking at dental schools for the son...went on a bay cruise and I took a picture of the twin towers...eerie feeling when I looked back at it...

On a much brighter note, the NFL got started last night with a bang...an OT thriller with the Steelers outlasting the Titans...a game that featured 2 of the top 5 or 6 teams in the league...by the way, I hate the way the OT is decided...a coin flip and 15 minutes of sudden death...

Rep Joe Wilson (R), out of South Carolina...he's the idiot who shouted down Prez O as the address to the Congress was going on...his 15 minutes of fame (or defamation)...glad I'm not a Republican anymore...

America Idol...named Ellen D in lieu of Paula...?...certainly a people advocate and will add a new twist to the broadcasts...here's my thing...it's all about the talent that's singing...the addition of the 4th judge last year was a bust...too much time by the panel and not enough for the singing...either give the show an extra 1/2 hour, or eliminate one of the judges...Kara would be my choice...

The Del Mar racing season just ended...an absolutely beautiful place to go and I'll miss it for a year...

I keep getting informed that the short season Salem Volcanoes (Giants) won their league again...my info comes from the voice of the team, my old broadcasting partner, Mark Gilman...congrats to all involved...

And finally, Restaurant Week, comes to the Quarter for the next 6 days...$20, $30 and $40 all-inclusive meals at most of the joints...
yummy for the tummy...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country....
