Greg Oden went down with a broken patella, Rudy has a back spasm, TO is out for 2 months with a knee, Nate has to go under the knife for his leg thinger stinger...and they were horrible defensively when they were are all healthy...look for a major downturn for the PDX red and black...sorry Blazer fans, but true...
So finally this is the day for the BSBCS to make their announcements to give out the $ for their selections to the bowl games...so Texas will get the nod to play Alabama for the BS title, after they looked anything like a top team in the country last night...I just can't believe the stooges who run this crap can't figure out a playoff system...OMG that Nebraska/Texas game was a crap one...
I missed yesterday as I played golf early and by the time I got back, my mind was all frazzled...

I don't want to sound like a communist, but I don't care who is number 1, especially based on the bcs formula.I love college football because there is great parity these days and the best teams this year are not those of five years ago. There is emotion and pagentry. I don't like any pro sports because of the insane money and business formula. Sure $ counts in college but just ask USC what happened. How many games yesterday came down to the wire? You have to love that, and those who lost are just as good as those who won. Texas should never have won that game.

Crap game...I don't agree with the lack of finality for #1...I like pro sports despite the $ that is made...blame the owners...or the rich get richer...back to the college presidents...their lack of dealing with an issue is beyond comprehension...for a group that prides itself in intelligence...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
