American Idol

It's about time I talk about the music industry...releasing a new CD today is none other than Carrie Underwood, recent American Idol winner...she was on Letterman last night and is on Good Morning America this am in her publicity blitz that is so common these days...I've heard parts of it and it's pretty good, although not great on the first listen...
Rod Stewart singing Motown...actually not that bad...as he continues singing covers from all over the map...
I have been listening to an oldie but goodie lately...Dinah Washington...trying to figure out what greatest hits CD to buy...
Tim McGraw's Southern Voice is the best guy's music out in a long time...
Do you dig Michael Buble? He has a catchy feel to his stuff and I like it a lot...
Adam Lambert releases his inaugural disc next week and it's going to be the hit of the year...I am real curious what his direction is going to be...
Have you heard of Uncle Cracker? I really like his latest and you should give it a try...
Hey, I know I lean toward country, but there is some really great stuff out there...
And, I normally download my music from I Tunes, rather than buy a CD from a store...mostly 'cuz it's easier to do and fewer stores carry a decent inventory anymore...and it's ususally cheaper...
As you know, we go to a bundle of concerts, and have been blessed with a wide range of choices...but none are better than Carrie's...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
