Awards

So I am not a fan of "awards" that are given to actors or musicians that are voted on by a select few...in general, lobbyists infiltrate all avenues of money making people...Oscars, Emmys, VMAs, CMAs, etc... so when someone wins an award I wonder just who was behind the scene to help get that achievement accomplished...hey, I know that's cynical, but it is what it is...anyway, I do like the show that they produce...I am more interested in how the people look, act, and or sing...and, it is a barometer of how some think...it's like the Electoral College that puts the Prez in power...originally set up because the legislature types didn't trust the public...
Anyway...last night at the VMA's (or something like that) 19 year old Taylor Swift won for best female performer in a video...as she was giving her acceptance, up popped Kanye West, grabbed the mic from her hands and boasted that Beyonce should have won...just a total embarrassment for all involved, especially Ms. Swift....bad stuff...
Or did you see how Serena Williams responded to a line judge who called a foot fault on her?
NFL...outstanding performances from the Saint's Drew Brees, the Viks Adrian Peterson, and the 49ers...tonight...the Bolts at the Raiders...
The Padres won their 6th straight series and are climbing the ladder to respectability...
The heat is getting a respite...for 2 days...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......
