So I'll Pop You In The Face

So the way to settle all disputes with the Oakland Raiders is to apparently slug the other guy in the face...the head coach, not happy with his assistant coach, popped him in the face, to settle their dispute...and, the NY Jets seem mighty happy that their squad has skirmishes during their practices...well, the Arizona Cardinals, deal with their stress by going to a team movie...and the Minnesota Vikings go out and sign a 50 year old QB...it's just the NFL...as one former head coach told an official...if you keep making calls like that, (NFL) it stands for "not for long" , meaning your life in this league...one of my favorite lines ever...fact is the bloody refs outlive the coaches easily...I digress...the Raiders are a mess...but the city of Oakland loves them...
Football is a violent sport...played by huge men and create a huge amount of contact...and this country thrives on it...whatever they get for $ is it worth it? Look at how many of the retirees hobble around look disabled at such a young age...and it makes no difference what they wear as protection...how many concussions can a head endure?
It's a team game and all...yahta yahta yahta...
But does it ever bond a city...San Diego is the Chargers...everywhere you go, the pride is immense...so, I don't know...got to admit, it is entertainment at the highest level...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
