Do You Remember?

Do you remember when this photo was released? Do you know it's a gal in Afghanistan? The impact of this picture was phenomenal...now as the US is trying to help corral civilization there, they have an election that could help build their own country back up...each of the candidates have their strengths and weaknesses....the current leader rarely gets out into the country and visits the local villages...it's probably too dangerous...did you know they don't have hardly any paved roads into these villages?...and the other candidate speaks fluent English and appears to be "of the people"...and, the Taliban wants neither one of the candidates....what a mess and definitely a frontier land for sure...did you notice I used no names in this piece? Because...we are the only insurance they have right now....not their leaders...sad really...

I have to mention the Pads...Kyle Blanks hits an inside the park home run....Kooz goes 3-4...Headley 2 knocks...the pen cleans up...and the Pads beat the Cubbies again...humorous note, the Cub's skipper, Lou Pinella, got cited for jaywalking here in the Quarter...bet he wants to get outta here bad...

Watched a documentary on Woodstock and had great vibes all over again...
