No Hits No Runs


The Padres can't seem to get any hits...thus no runs. The same formula ruined a masterful 12 K outing by Jake Peavy and the Pads got whupped 3-1...see you have Kyle Blanks who tore up spring training and is now doing the same in AAA...maybe bring the lad up and make some hay...but hey...
Hockey in the NBA...with the fights and all in the playoffs it has become a gladiator thing...I think it is funny that this is what it has come to...the Lakers doing their version of playoff basketball is a joke and, quite frankly, not much fun to watch....
American Idol...not getting the votes was the girl...who had a marvelous rendition of Janis Joplin's Cry Baby...the mass public likes the clean cut Kris boy...not my cup of tea, but obviously is for many others...still think that Adam is a can't miss...the others...no way.
Take a peak at the PGA this week as the pundits say this course is not suited for Tiger...pretty much all he needs to get fired up and crush the field...

Your American Idol comments are right on. I picked Adam and the girl over a month ago. She is definetly #2. It came down to a popularity contest this week and not talent. She and Adam have potential careers the other two don't. Well maybe one on Christian rock. The show is over for me.

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
