NBA Coaching

Having to coach in the NBA is one difficult thing. Maybe easier now than 20 years ago, but...When the players earn much more than you do there is a underlying feeling that they may know more than you do. Anyway, the Blazers last night couldn't hold onto an 8 point lead in the last 1 and 1/2 minutes. Orlando got away with trapping Brandon Roy once he got over 1/2 court and PDX had no answer for it. They repeatedly either took bad shots or turned it over. Even after a timeout...!!! Make the adjustments and be prepared for it, cuz EVERYONE is going to try the same thing now. One of my big pet peeves in the NBA circus is getting the ball at 1/2 court instead of from the baseline after a timeout in the last 2 minutes. This is entertainment not basketball. Orlando lucked out again and got off a 3 pointer at the buzzer and hit it off the glass. Luck bag!

TKT has said that Stud Jake will be gone by noon today...or not at all! In the Trib it was said the majority owner Moores is trying to sell his portion. Now I'm really pulling for him on this one. The PADS need new $ to get this team going the right direction. And get rid of TKT!!!

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
