It is a sad commentary to see the demise of the Pads. One thing is to under perform but another thing to trade away your quality guys. Yes, The Towers group is trying to unload their premiere player, Jake Peavy. Towers quote in the paper is that the trade talks would not be underway if Jake didn't want them. BS. Towers is an egotist that figures he can make this team his in his own way.
Let's see what he has done. He has brought in a new CF, Edmonds...Oops not the right guy, he's gone. A new pitcher, Wulf...Oops he's gone. A new C, Barrett, oops he's gone. It goes on and on. The park needs speed and line drive hitters. He has brought in none. It needs quality pitchers. He's trying to get rid of the best one in the league. OMG get RID OF TOWERS!
