Super Saturday

There are times that I lead with sports...in this trump regime era, not too often...he has so much carnage, it bears the talk...yet, today, it is the football...the Ducks went into a sold out Coliseum to play the USC Trojans...it's not always filled up...this time, a yes...Oregon was a team possessed...to show the real product...the locals there, were thinking the same about USC...

Then the game turned into a nightmare...in the 1st half...as the UO QB, Dante Moore, ran and did the slide maneuver that protects the quarterback...BUT, the USC kid hit him anyway...knocked him out and was taken to the hospital...anger was everywhere...thing is, the attacker went into antics that were bizarre...raising his arms and making gestures towards the Ducks...then, as the stadium was in a hush, he was smiling like nothing was wrong with what he did...

Yes, these are kids playing an often brutal game...matador like...put a helmet on, and that changes the methodology...Yes, the player should be punished...and Yes, he should be held accountable...But, the head coach, Lincoln Riley, allowed him onto the field in the 2nd half...not as a player, but on the sideline, in uniform...in lieu of making him get dressed and out of the stadium...so, says me...Yes, Lincoln Riley should be held accountable...too...

Have NOT heard how Dante is doing as of this morning...hoping for the best recovery...possible...

The outcome of the game?...Ducks 41-27...

What would possibly be the reason that trump would take his entourage to the Tennessee/Texas game?...campaigning?...egads. his face was put on the Jumbotron and he was ferociously BOOOOED...then, of all things, he departed at half time...what?...today he takes his circus to the Chicago area, at the President's Cup...golf match with the USA hosting the International Team...who is leading going into the final days singular matches...seems like wherever he goes, the home team loses...think twice, Poopah, and stay away...

I watched the Florida/Ole Miss game in the Swamp...well, I wasn't there, but on the tele...and my prognostication for the season?...Florida will be in the finals...yup, they are fast fast fast....

Now, over at the ball yard...the Friars DID IT!...won the coveted WILD CARD home team advantage...will host da Cubbies in a best of 3...to advance...our son already got us tix for game 2 of that match...so great to see him and...the game...

BTW, the Beavers continue on...with a solid win over UTEP...this OSU squad is silently getting better and better...will give Boise a run for the $ in the Pac 12...

Numbers?...I had an all time hit yesterday...yes, it was a Super Saturday!...6,265!...thanks for reading The Horse...today will drop off, not much on the Poopah...

Today we go up to LA and meet...with Lucy's family...the others that were rescued...her mother and 3 brothers...I wonder how she will react?...
