Labor Day

This is the life of the elders...not sure if there is a holiday today, or not...yup, Labor Day...for moi in the past...the last day before classes started back up...and my final day out at the Horse Races...@ the Oregon State Fair...my last day of freedom, so to speak...as per usual, the place was packed...people everywhere...enjoying the atmosphere...and NOW?...that part of the Fair...is all gone...too bad, as it paid for many of the owners, trainers, of these fine animals...I'm not sure if there is any racing in Oregon anymore...perhaps at the county fairs...Tillamook, Prineville- they used to have them...

The State Fairs...are still alive and thriving...the Cali one (here in SD) is humongous...and the food?...wild...Chicken Charlies...fries up ANYTHING...for me, the pronto pup...and of course, a Fisher's Scone...wait, that was back in Oregon...as you can see, the elder thang again...

Nowadays...nothing like getting on out to the links for a day of hacking...ah, shoot, that's what the poopah is doing...what WAR?...well, he NEEDS a day off...

The ladies USA hoops in Germany...a darn old barn burner...with Italy...back and forth, as the USA couldn't shoot...it was an infectious, ugly sight...give credit to the Italians, with a great game plan...they were clobbered by 34 a few months back by the same team...that Italy coach reminded me so much of someone I know...not naming names...oh well, the USA perservered...will move on the next level...

The Friars did something that they haven't done in a few decades...started the game with 3 consecutive home runs!...Jr, Crone, and Manny...added one more later on...as Campy hit another...and held on to beat them Damn Yankees in the series...in comes the Nats for a set...crucial one... they ALL are from here on out...

Hot and humid here in LoCal...still...high 80's even in the Marina...imagine what it is like out at Singing Hills...gonna find out a bit later...

In his waste of time...renaming things...bodies of water...trump...has suggested to redo New Mexico...to New America...a joke?...probably, but, really, who knows what the poopah may try...

He has stated he is taking things more seriously now...only golfing (hacking) once a week...of course, on the course, following him close behind, is Ms Harp...you know (sorry CC), just in case...
