The strange sounds of silence...as we all await the next move by trump...the tension in the Middle East...who is going to strike NEXT?...have we ever NOT been in a WAR?...this one that the Poopah started was unwarranted...mired deeply in a quagmire of misguided attacks...with the usual, no exit plan...all the while, he hosts an Indy Car Race in DC...what WAR?...let the good times roll...can't think of a more bizarre and benign way of dealing with REAL problems...self-inflicted...that we, the USA, must not only endure, but FIX...come November...

The highlight of the race...was the unearthing of Melania again...and the caught-on-tape sequence of them arguing...the lip Readers were busy...but, dang it all...not all of them (Poopah and Melania) speak English...suffice to say, it was not 'I love you'...and in one moment, Ms Harp swept in on trump while Melania stepped aside...ah, the timing was perfect...

The bunker...underneath his 'grand ballroom'...yes, it is being constructed....what orders?...will it withstand the bunker-buster ballistic missiles that are now out there and are plentiful?...not sure why he needs it, but perhaps his lust for staying on after his term is up is the reason...can't get him out...carry on...and don't even think about not voting in November...

One might think that he would order some form of extra help for the FIRE in Nevada...nope, too busy preserving himself...and yet, some of you still cherish the bloke...egads...

Wyndham Clark...hung on and outlasted Rory for the W at Mizzou...as the Ducks went ballistic!...he caught fire at the end...after mish-mashing his way through the first 15 holes...weird as the crowd was rah rah for McIlroy...the foreigner...in the final moments of sure victory, finally you could hear USA USA...whatever...now, the finals next week in Hotlanta...speaking of HOT, it's HOT here, too...

Speaking of HOT...the Friars swept the Twins, who themselves are in a dogfight for the playoffs in the AL...listen, the past month, the Padres are 21-7, the BEST in beisbol...incoming are the Pitt Pirates with their very youthful pitching staff...keep a rocking, men...

The passing of one of my favs...at 82 years young...Shelley Fabares...'Johnny Angel'...Donna Reed Show and Coach, were her starring roles...

My lead title for the Journal today...'Alley Cat'...by Bent Fabric...was a hit about the same time as the one above...I also lurved 'Soulful Strut' by Young-Holt Unlimited...'Green Onions' by Booker T & the MG's...'Wipe Out' by the Safaris...and of course, 'Tequila' by the Champs...

Speaking of Cats...we are embarking on the trip up to Montecito to see the kids and their kids...celebration of Cas's 4th birthdate...

I finally have conquered for the FIRST TIME, a Monster Sudoku 5 star...try it, kids...it is hard...
