Happy Padres Day


Well, that sure is confusing...I meant to say 'HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!'...to ours in heaven, and to our grandson's daddy right here on earth...padre means father in Spanish, so it does make sense...sort of...I have been milking it as much as I can, with Boss...as tonight we celebrate with a jaunt over to the Shell for a concert with Lucinda Williams and Bob Dylan...yup. that one...

'Everybody must get stoned'...a very popular lyric from the great 'Rainy Day Women, #12 and #35'...some toke up, some drink their alcohol, and some, well, do whatever...it's a song, kids...a song...Dylan has a rep as a non-talker at his concerts...just sangs...many think his voice is turrible...he really is a stylist...we have our limited expectations...the Horse likes many of his tunes...

The Strait is closed...what?...poopah sent VPJD (and Jared?) to Switzerland to pow wow with the Iranians on a deal...why didn't trump go?...he is the art of the deal dude...wait, that's right, the book was ghost written...he is an imposter dealer...why did they switch from Pakistan to Switzerland for their confabs?...does JD or Jared carry the cash?...

Clouseau has got some vagrants in tow for trashing Trump's algae-filled reflecting pool....prosecute them as hard as those involved in the Epstein Files...seriously, this is the major headline for many of my 24 sources...trump's greenish pool...is he golfing today?...clear the course from all the daddies, so the grand poopah can hack all by himself...hmmm, maybe not...rumors are that he is back at Walter Reed, getting blood infusions...wonder who leaks this stuff?...

Speaking of golf... the former Duck, Wyndham Clark, is rocking the US Open... up by 6 and breezing... the only thing is, he is paired with the crowd's fav, and number 1 player on the planet, Scottie Scheffler...so, that will keep him on his toes...er, webfeet...supposed to be milder weather today...

Happy Padres Day...yes, them Friars...coming from behind to tie the game with the Rangers...then used a 3-run dinger from Manny to seal the win in OT...11:35 last game with them today...we may need hard hats on the field...as Giolito is on the mound for the Pads...I bet 500 quid that Matsui pitches today...make that a 1,000 quid...

Cleanup on aisle 4...did you read about this?....the FIFA World Cup...when Japan plays, the fans finish their celebration with a clean up of their area in the stands...I saw that another set did the same, as Paraguay fans followed their lead...this is way cool...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
