California Vote


It's a day of the VOTE, here in California...the major item on the ballot is the one for Governor...if there is not a clear majority of 50% or more, then there will be a runoff with the top 2...to go at it for the Mid-Terms in November...regardless of party lines...which is interesting...as 2 of the top 3 right now, are Democrats...usually in these VOTES, the turnout is low...we shall see...another one that is interesting for LA. is their Mayor race...where the leader, believe it or not, is a trump backed Republican, who is an influencer...really....and he is rumored to be the winner...perhaps, you have heard of him...Spencer Pratt...he was in 'The Hills'...anyhoo, he is going up against the incumbent, Karen Bass... 

Whiskey Pete...oh my...the Secretary of War (trump's name for it)...so much for Defense...has cast a very shady and manly shadow on the position...as he is sifting through the leadership of our Armed Forces...firing minorities, and get this, couple that with women...in his War Generals, and Admirals...thus far, the has fired more than 60% of Black and Women leaders...just yesterday BLOCKED more ethnicity in moving up the ranks...overturning the Board that sees fit to advance the worthy...Pete Hegseth...man, these Mid-terms can't get here fast enough...

Does this not further racially divide this country?...furthermore, the equality of the genders?...what an absolute MESS this regime has put us in...

There is no checking the two aggressors of the World right now...Russia and Israel...as they continue their onslaught of Ukraine and Lebanon...right now, trump is subdued...I think he would love to be included in those two mentioned...Congress has blocked the poopah...if that means anything...

The grilling of Pammy Bondi...more of the same, so it seems...the reports out that she was combative as the last time...would not talk about anything to do with her puppet master, trump...what's the point?...said that everything is now in hands of her successor, the new DOI (DOJ) head, Todd Blanche...who actually is the 'ACTING HEAD"...as he has yet to go before Congress...which ought to be a real shit show...pop the popcorn...the Epstein Files...man, they must be doozies...

Here in the real world...the upcoming trip to Indio, is cancelled...as Deb Morris sent us the weather report...117*?...oh my...not fit for a young dog, and an old man...and his debutante wife...how do they handle it?...so much for my summer tan...

Still real...the crapper...the flusher...gets stuck...and worse...we tried to fix it...went to AI for help...alas, we are sending up the white flag...and calling the home warranty for the remedy...$95 and it shall be done...we are on a fixed income, and that means we are on a 'fix it up' call...some things we have to farm out...

Man, the thing we have in Cali...the SMOG certification...that is due when we re-up our license plate...every 2 years...that is what happens for the old rigs we have...the price keeps rising...now is ?...$75?...I dunno...another 'fix it up' call...if I weren't so elderly, could get a job as a SMOGGER...and make a decent living off of that...

NBA finals...manana...in San Antone...Texas, amigos...the Spurs are hosting...isn't that where the Alamo is?...Davy Crockett?...Fess Parker?...'San Antonio' by Willie...'San Antonio Stroll' by Tanya Tucker...'San Antonio Rose' by Patsy Cline...and 'China Grove' by the Doobies (really)....the east coast darlings, the Knicks, invade...will the rich fat cats get front row seats?...here you go...peops that are from San Antone...Carol Burnett, Hilary Duff, Joan Crawford, Scott Pelley (CBS dude who ripped new head, Bari Weiss), Ann B Davis (The Brady Bunch), and get this, Shaq!...

Is this true or a rumor?...over 10,000 lawyers have been fired from trump...so says the NY Times...is there that many out there?...if so, they need to do what the medical field does, and restrict the numbers that get out in the...WORLD!...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
