Freedom (?) 250


If you are a wondering, like I am, what on earth is this Freedom 250?...it's the trump version of a state fair...a few days of 'celebrating' the 250 years of the country...alas, the performers that were scheduled, did not realize it was a show for the poopah, himself...well, duh...isn't everything he does, for himself?...one by one, the performers scheduled have canceled ( 7 out of 9)...thinking this was an event for ALL Americans...then realizing it is not...one such star, befuddled me...one of my long time favs, Martina McBride...well, she just backed out, too...citing the misinterpretation that she originally received...that makes sense...

The proposed 'CEASEFIRE' on the table between Iran and trump....is just that...as the news out is that the only thing that is holding it from beginning, is that ALL are waiting for 'trump to sign off on it'...somebody must have to read it to him...

A Russian drone hit, er attacked Romania?...what is going on?...warfare is sure different with these drones...

Where are most of the drones made?...China...followed by the USA....and get this...both of trump's sons, Jr and Eric...own SIGNIFICANT stakes in drone companies...Powerus, UMAC (Unusual Machines), and Xtend...lord...who doesn't want war?...they call them 'defense drones'...sure...does something smell to you?...sure does to me...

A glorious day for the country...well, sort of...Pammy Bondi is being grilled by Congress...wait, she is being questioned...unfortunately, it is behind closed doors...so, she can cut the arrogance she showed last time...the query is 'what did she do with the Epstein Files?'...my guess, pleads the 5th...protect the poopah at all costs...if he is in them (sarcasm)...

The rule is...to get your mug on a treasury bill, you must be dead...oooeee, that sounds morbid...no longer living, that is better....however, the treasury department is going to present a bill to Congress to get that changed...yes, the trump $250 bill...add that to the trump basketball shoes, the trump Bible, the trump trading cards, the trump cellphone, the trump bank card, the trump college degree, the trump casinos, the trump crypto coins, the trump cologne and perfume, the trump guitar, the trump watch, and of course, the maga hats and shirts...and flags...how many of these do YOU own?...

Ah yes, the Horse review of the play 'The Sound of Music'...we started with the jaunt over to Eddie V's to get the nite rolling...simply terrific...food + drink...then to the Civic...great seats...lower level...and the show...the singing was cool...but, here is the problem...the dialog...the mikes were not loud enough!...we barely could hear the actors...so much so, at halftime, Boss and I were so frustrated....we bolted...so, if you are going, get closer to the stage, kids...it's your only chance...

Oh my, the Friars...are in a combustible mode...so the rumors are...AJ and his staff are befuddled...so, this next week...what the team does, may dictate actions...if the play is good, then hallelujah...if bad, heads will roll...no doubt, the hitting coach is the fall guy...but, don't be too surprised if the rookie Mgr is not next...you do know, we have Buddy Black in the wings...on the payroll as a, ah, I am not sure...something...we are in DC, then Philly...uh oh...

With the recent firings of reporters and others...at CBS...(Colbert, Anderson Cooper, Sharyn Alfonsi, Cecilia Vega) the smatterings of the ghost past of The Smothers Brothers re-emerges...the word CENSORSHIP is back....the new head, Bari Weiss, has succumbed to the pressures of the trump regime...and FIRES those who have the audacity to speak out...what 'Freedom of Speech?'...60 Minutes, is about all the time one should give to that station...booooooooo...

The San Antonio Spurs won at home and evened the series at 3 in the west...NBA playoffs, kids...the finale is in OKC...winner gets the Knicks...my guess is that the Thunder prevail...

A thing to keep in mind....that the MLB and the players Union are at odds...and there could be a walkout...hmmm, they make a lot of dough, so, I dunno...

I would think that I had a great amount of knowledge about WWII...however, I just (YES) heard about a failed trial run of the infamous D-Day invasion...where we lost 700+ soldiers...the actual one, on June 6,, 1944...we lost an estimated 15,000 men on the FIRST DAY!...WAR is Hell...the trial run was on April 27, 1944...nobody ever talks about the trial run...

Boss told me for Father's Day, there is a show over at the Shell...Bob Dylan and Lucinda Williams...never seen either before...so searched out tix and found some beauts...lucky...man, I hope he plays his old stuff...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
