There were many protest songs for the dreaded Vietnam War...written, and sung by some very courageous singers and groups...which I have highlighted over the years of me blog entries...none more so, than by CSNY...Crosby Stills Nash and Young...David Crosby (deceased), Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young...it was an era, that the kids...the young people KNEW...that the War was wrong...at the mercy of the then LBJ/Nixon 'leadership'...too many lives lost for this 'domino theory' debacle...

A sad commentary on leaders of countries, talking the walk, but not walking the walk...using pawns for their own benefit...in our case 'Serve Your Country'...you KNOW it's bad, when the leaders resort to a DRAFT of young men...to serve as their NEW pawns...so sad...and get this...Whiskey Pete (The Secretary of WAR!) is saying he needs more pawns...what century are we in?...in the now, trump regime...

Perhaps, fortunately, after the November mid term elections...as the wall shall come crumbling down...and the poopah will throw his catsup, fire his subordinates...the usual...gives us ALL something to look forward to...as I have said, often...this interim period is the bad part...

Bizarre?...talkin to a friend who just came back from the Far East...their favorite country to visit?...Vietnam!...as the 'Communist' countries have all gone a bit capitalistic...$ drives all...our imports of goods, seemingly all come from China or Vietnam...used to be Taiwan...right?...ahead of, NOTHING comes from the Middle East...but OIL!!!...

The timing was right...as we golfed yesterday...2 hours and 45 minutes for the round!...and this without hurrying...really....the normal?...more like 4+ hours...hey, tomorrow, have to get petrol for the VDub...out to Sycuan for it...wonder how much cheaper it is there?...saw that the lowest on the route was $5.79 for regular...

$5.79!...and yet, the stocks are booming...at least the AI influenced stocks...wonder why the diff?...yet, the market ebbs and flows, at the news of the Strait...no idear...the overall headlines were tame this am...which means something is brewing...

The Friars got game 3 and the series in Frisco...much needed...and now come back home to host Saint Looey...who is sporting a very similar record as us...hit the rock, boys...

Are you a chipper?...like them tater chips?...we are on hiatus from them...and yet, we hear that there are a couple of brands that are being taken off the market...make you sickly...get these names...which I have never seen here in LoCal...Zapp's and Dirty...lord, no wonder...Dirty?...

The LeBrons are in OKC for their game 2...tonight...go Thunder...the Vegas spread is 15 1/2!...that is a bundle of points, kids...

The 'stars' are out of the PGA Tour this week...Myrtle Beach...thus, time for a big win for one of the 2nd flight players to get into the Masters...

The Nancy Guthrie disappearance is absolutely bizarre...imagine, all you people out there, your mother missing and not found...

No reply from Substack yet...who needs 'em?...not the Horse...am I a radical?...ha ha...

It's 'National Day of Reason'...perhaps, Substack could abide by it and tell me why the Horse is blackballed...

So, I asked AI...about the founders of Substack...3 cats...and is a haven for 'Heterodox' and right leaning voices...well, the latter, not moi...there you go...BB...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
