Labor Day

My best recall of them old times...the period right prior to the start of school...this thing called Labor Day...a true last dash of freedom...ha ha...as there were no breaks from this time, until Thanksgiving...you who think that teaching is easy...it is stressful, probably more now than ever...the point, Horse?...my last day I would spend at the Oregon State Fair...walk around and get a scone or two...and then, go out to the ponies...yes, back then, they had them...

For sure, it was the lowest level of competition for the horses...made no diff to me...they were and are, the finest animals...to watch them run, is truly incredible...this was my last getaway....

To honor that memory, Boss and I went out to DelMar to do the same as in the past...to do them ponies...the remarkable difference?...these colts, fillies, and mares...are the cream of the crop...we got some top notch seats in the Club House...

Unfortunately, we were misinformed as to the dress code...I wore long pants and a sports coat....egads, in 85* heat, to boot...thing is, it wasn't needed...as all around us, were lads and blokes in shorts and tees...feeling much more comfortable than I...but, the area we were in...was rad...BTW, we had the most bodacious burger (smash burger) that we have EVER eaten...

Well, lost $40 and I call that a success...if you lose...

Still a code of alarm out of the White House...such a strange set of days...is he or is he not?...like sick, dying, or dead?...we all know he must be seen or heard, each and every single day...so, thus, something is up...or down...where are the leaks, you know they are there...

This ranking bizzness, in the collegiate football...is always a guess...especially after week 1...so, don't get too upset at what the numbers are...play the games...and after week 4...then, do that rating thang...

A stabbing over at the train station last eve...here in SD...3 were attacked, and the assailant got away...man, people can be crazy...the value of life is at it's lowest...

The music bizz...can't think of a song that is HOT...what is the deal?...been a while...nothing that is even remotely catchy...nada...zilch..

The U of Miami, their football has been risen up...by the former Duck HC...Mario Cristobal...recruited well, and his team looks to be a contender...beating Notre Dame last eve...the fans are back and are loving it...

Then, I had to watch a segment of 'Big Brother'...oh my, the villain of the past, Rachel, is back with the newbies...and she is surviving...ewww...she is really a easy person to dislike...which I do...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ...
