Was it a scam?...we had an invite to 'join us' at this certain upscale restaurant'...in the hood...The Gaslamp...accepted the memo...and arrived at said time...and after about 5 minutes were seated at a table, like 10 feet from the bar area...filled with patrons, apparently, partying prior to the Padre game in a few hours...we asked for the said 'special menu' that was the reason for us attending there...BEWILDERED HOST..."yes, I will get it for you"...ah, nothing happened...our waiter for the night, arrived...and we asked for the 'special menu'....BEWILDERED...as he read the text that Boss had on her phone..."oh yes, that's for the bar area only"...what?...no where did it say that..."I will go to the manager and see if we can serve you here, in the dinner area"...again, I tell you...we were 10 feet from the packed bar section...looking at each other, we then realized it was a SCAM!...of sorts...to get us in that place...Morton's...we left...vowing to never return...walked down to Freddy's Chop Shop, and had the best din din ever...for half the price of Morton's...
Some date night, right?...turned out fine, but, really...

Not to be a downer...but, the manager of a ball club doesn't have much to do in a game...fill out the starting lineup...sub, at some time...and then, figure out when to change pitchers...duh...with the very BEST relieving corps in MLB...shouldn't be that hard, to bring them in...which he didn't do last night...horrific BENCH coaching, dude...and just for icing on the cake...with the score still only one run down...trots out the one and only catastrophic reliever we still have on the roster...Matsui, who promptly gives up two runs, to put the game outta reach...Manager grade for the night?...F...

More about this and that...we had to get some grub from Costco...so, like dummies...well, it was my idear...thus, I accept it...I am the dummy...to go on a Saturday...yes, kids, it was slammed...it is amazing that there aren't more crashes there...and I am talking about the carts in the store...HOWEVER, the checkers and helpers were in full force and it was a breeze once we got into the line to cash out...oh yes, you should have seen the pile up at the chicken center...waiting for the freshly cooked ones to come out...$5 for a big chick, can't beat it...if you can garner one...
