Rivalry

It's a fact...that the idear of a RIVALRY is not only in sports...sure, it happens all the time...in athletics...as some teams, or players, get matched up...some cuz they are close in proximity to one another...some go back greater than a century...for you magas, that's a hundred years...in me high school days, nothing was bigger than North vs South...huge crowds...so fun...Oregon vs Oregon State...in ALL sports, but football was called the 'Civil War'...since dropped, I guess ?...

Down here in south SoCal...the ongoing feud with the Bums and the Friars is on top of the list...they hate us, and we hate them...they hit us, and we hit them...sure, they have the highest paid players in the league...that's one of the constant reasons for the RIVALRY...David and Goliath?...well now, we are 3 back in the west...of them...a good week, and we could surpass 'em...BUT, baseball is hard...and making up 3 games...it has to be face to face...which cometh this month...

The ongoing distaste for one another is so evident in the political arena here in the States...it's always been an issue...trump has just increased the blood flow...in fact, I am not so sure, that he has brought about internal problems within the republican party itself...as I have documented often in my blog entries...

How can a rational human being believe ANYTHING that trump says?...would love to be a fly on the wall (slang, not really)...in one, or ALL, of the republican parties in DC...if you are not a trump pawn, you are worried about your party...the pawns, just wait for orders...

Another RIVALRY is set to happen in a month or so...in golf, the Ryder Cup...Europe vs USA...the team game in a non-team sport...gets passionate for the home crowd...of course, I get tickled, when the Euros are announced...most of the blokes are now living in the States...where the taxes are less...especially in Florida...and Texas...ha ha...not a fan of this year's Captain...for America...

The WNBA has yet to get solidified into rivalry status...other than, the players don't like CC, Caitlan Clark...but team vs team, er, city vs city...don't see it...YET!...

Going way way way back...to my youth...there was this RIVALRY amongst radio fans of pop music...my sis, Jill, lurved Pat Boone....my bro, Jim, thought that Elvis was the King...and that was the way of the people, too...one or the other...man, that was back in the 50's...75 years ago...egads...

THE sport for sooooo long...Heavyweight Boxing...man, it was the thang...the elite became RIVALRIES...not too sure, if the bouts weren't rigged...but, oh my, the hype...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ...
