Natty S’mores Days

I can't think of a cooler thing...seeing our grandkid, sitting at a lil table...eating a S’mores...he was so happy...what sugar and chocolate won't do for a body's soul...yes, kids...it is Natty S’mores day!...

The evening was sublime...as we ventured over to the Rady Shell, for the outside concert of them...Beach Boys...first had dinner at Sally's...for you not knowing San Diego...this is a restaurant right on the bay...walking distance from our music site...terrific food, as they have changed their menu...Boss had the Baja Seafood Cobb Salad...and I had the Chilean Sea Bass, which is the SoCal equivalent of the PNW's halibut...tasty, my friends...

On to the concert...as per usual, The Beach Boys, were great...so alive and fun, fun, fun...it is impossible to not dance the night away, and sing along to ALL THOSE SONGS...man, they rarely take a break...yes, and last evening, John Stamos, was in the band...they had a tribute to Brian Wilson...one more thing...the crowd...is so diverse, not only in color, but of ages...yup, it may have been our 20th time attending one of their shindigs...and get this...we have tix for the Al Jardine version that is in November out at the Magnolia...

All the while, a few blocks away...at Petco...the Friars got game 2 vs the Bosox...an OT thriller...and the rubber game is today...to win the series...ah, still 3 games back from the Bums...hey, I heard this...when the city of Portland was to be named...like a century or two ago...the one name that was bantered about, was not Portland, but Boston!...can you imagine, Boston, Oregon?...me neither...

This meeting in Sarah Palin's Alaska...the Russians are claiming that trump is caving...you know, TACO...and will call for Ukraine to give in...and surrender part of Ukraine's land to Putin...I just read this back...what did I say wrong?...can you even fathom, having trump decide such a deal?...he has messed up the States so badly, what he could do to the World...is worse?...as worse...as bad...badly?...no...whatever, you know what I mean...

Most of my day, will be watching the PGA playoffs...in Memphis...the weather?...humid, duh...as the 2 Englishmen are leading...BUT, Scottie just a few back...and lurking...golf is hard, and yes, another 4 letter curse word...of sorts...hmmm, the Friar game is at 1:10...looks like I may be flipping channels...

In the foreground...will be my Monster Sudoku...going for number 59...should be a challenge 3 today...which means I have a chance...4 or 5, a very loooong shot...

And this be a truth...I have seen ZERO downs of the NFL pre-season games...none...JCC...let's get on with it...the real thang...nobody wants these games...especially the players...I take that back...the guys, who have one last chance to make the squads...they want 'em...the debate...do I dare get into a 'fantasy league?'...right now, I am doubting it...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
