Big Ten (18)


Top of the morning to all of you...it is a Sunday, still in July....and dang it all, I will try to not talk about the Grand Poopah in my blog, today...ah, let's see how long that goes...

My topper is the interest I have for collegiate football...all levels, really....but the highest one, the D-1 cats...sure, as you know, I am  Duck fan...UO...it's been this way, since I was a toddler...$, made me go elsewhere...I had none...+I tried to play hoops...too short, too slow, and had no scratch...get to the point, Horse...

The changeover in the leagues of the bigs...the dissolution of the original, er, latest Pac 12...as it will survive, thanks to WSU and OSU...thing is...there are classes of the teams...and woah be to all, the 2 major conferences are now...the SEC and the Big 10 (18)...it's like the other ones have no say, or credence...so, to get your team in the upper echelon, you have to sell your soul to the bigs...those 2 conferences...if you can...it takes money...lots of it...

OK, that's football, BUT...the crying shame is that ALL the other sports must compete there, too...silly...there should be a football league and the rest should be an area conglomeration of teams...in reality, it is a mess...thanks to football...

The last pundit thing I read...had Penn St at number 1 in the Big 18...Ohio St, as #2, and the Ducks, #3...good lord, figure all that out....there are 18 teams and what, 11 games?...and for sure, your fav team has to have a patsy or two in it's schedule...so, that leaves 9 matches in the league...confused?...

The ONE game that stands out for UO, is the one at Penn St...could be the game of games for the season...

This is the last day of the infamous Comic-Con...here in SD...thousands of participants roam about the Gaslamp...they are everywhere...with their huge bags FILLED with goodies...them people just love it...it's like Halloween in July...something like that...

The Friars finally got a W in Saint Looey...breaking a 4 game L streak...whew...and STILL, no trades to announce...as the scribes keep saying we are to wheel and deal...I dunno, nuttin' yet...

Our date nite, over at Eddie V's...man, it is sooooo good...terrific food...we eat in the bar, and there is live music...last nite, it was Jazz....worth every penny...wait, there are no more pennies...

Well, dang it all...I couldn't do it...I have to comment on trump...the Horse may be the only one who feels this way...ah, maybe not...but, I love the idear of trump being out of the country...golfing?...why not?...keep his arse over there, as long as he wants...does he have papers?...perhaps, he can extend his stay for a week...as he is trying so hard, to stay away from the Epstein Files fiasco...too bad he is not sailing back via a ship, as it is sinking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
