Fork in the Road


In the years prior to all this talk about 'roids, analytics, juiced balls, juiced bats, torpedo ones, even, Tommy John surgery...there was a time of elite in Major League Baseball...of the Damn Yankees, the New York Giants, and the Brooklyn Dodgers that dominated the game...and the news...for youse old timers, er, elders, and now the baseball card nuts who must have the old Topps stuff...there was this cat called Yogi...

Catcher, and really, an OF at times, for them Yankees...Yogi Berra...that was tiny for ways and means of a modern day catcher...who was always talking...in some form, once called gibberish...slang thangs...well, he was credited with this one...."when you get to the fork in the road, take it"...it was representative of many of the sayings he was ascribed to...

There is a story to it...and wouldn't you know...'it was taken out of context'...ha ha, another saying that is credited to almost all politicians at one time or the other...I digress...here we go...Yogi was having a dinner at his place...yes, his invited guests, many did not know where he lived...so, he gave them directions..turns out that he lived on a cult-e sac...and it had two ways of getting there...there indeed was a 'Fork in the Road'...thing is, you could go to the left and get there...or, you could go to the right and get there...

Thus, take the 'Fork in the Road!'...

Boy orange did in fact give the commencement speech to West Point, their graduation...you do know he is the CEO of our military...that ought to just shake your tree...he showed up, rather robust wouldn't you think?...and touted his signature MAGA cap adorning his yellow haired head...his speech...rambled on about nothing...normal stuff from the Grand Poopah...even, lectured the graduation Cadets about landing a trophy wife, how that was not such a good thing...oh my, true dat...did the power trip, as the men and women, were trained to fight for the country, duh...one line was a beaut...and as mentioned above 'takin out of context'..."the job of the US armed forces is not host drag shows on military bases"...what?...take the fork in the road...

How can a NBA team, on it's way to the finals...in the playoffs, get beat by 42?...talk about 'mailing it in'...if this is what the game has got to...play the best of 5...not 7...

I'm going to anger some of you on this...watched the Fever/Liberty game on the pixels yesterday...the WNBA...the pride and joy of the league, Caitlyn Clark...for as talented as she is, I can't stand to watch her play...what, Horse?...her body language is perfectly awful...I can compare her to Russell Westbrook...of the NBA...who I detest...NY was much the class act and deserved the W...

The Friars squelched the King start, and went with a RP game instead...bad move, and we got pummeled by the Hotlanta team...lucky it was only 7-1...

Our dinner date at Morton's last eve...was simply awesome...great food, great date, and great service...if you have one of their chain restaurants, I highly recommend you go...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
