Crazy Eight


Isn't that the name of a game?...Crazy Eight?...wait, it's Crazy Eights...something like that...to prove I don't double check enough...what I may say...you magas, think that all the time...it's OK...'you have your right to be wrong'...a very famous quote from my now departed horse racing amigo, teacher, and friend...CC, ah, C Squared...er, Cliff Corn...get to the story, Horse...

You see in last night's Friar game, hosting the Fish of Florida...the mighty Marlins put up a 6 in the FIRST STANZA!...like, first inning...for most teams, that is it...game over...they had a multitude of 'seeing eye' singles...woah, and that was that...then, for the next 5 innings, the Friars fought back...scoring in each inning...and guess what?...went ahead 7-6...then, in the CRAZY EIGHT inning, added one more on a dinger by CF Jackson Merrill...what is weird, is that Mgr Shildt, stayed with that starter, thru 5+ and GOT the W, after all that...this team COULD be special...

Over in the NBA...the Pacers outpaced the Knicks...sorry, NY fans...but, Indy really is a fun team to watch....play great D, and run run run...up now 3-1, with one game to get...to advance to the finals...BTW, PG Halliburton, had one of those nights...15 assists and ZERO turnovers...in fact, it was the best in history of the playoffs...so, not just one of those nights, but the best ever...back to running, and this is what I had trouble with, for some of my teams...slowing them down, when needed...what's hard, is the addition of the shot clock...

Looks like this is a sports edition special, today...the PGA T at Jack's Place...the Memorial...Ohio...it's one of the tournaments that most cats play...it's an honor, so to speak...and Rory McElroy, sent in, that he wasn't going to...without a call to Mr Nicklaus...a no no, son...you are better than that...

The WNBA...Paige Bueckers got her fist win...finally...she is good, but, not great...BUT, a terrific attitude...which should carry her far...

The LPGA...is the worst publicized pro tour there is...who knows who is in it...when they play...it needs someone that can excite crowds...to go to...right now, it's a farce...

For today, finally....who really cares where, or if, Aaron Rodgers plays...he is pro football old...can't move and has the ominous distinction of a bad actor...time to sit upstairs and talk on the tele, dude...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
