Two Ships Passing in the Night

Nothing like the way a democracy works...at least, ours...4 year terms, and there may be a change of leadership...two terms max...this is what we are witnessing right now...Prez B out and here comes the orange...

trump has made a lot of promises that he will do when he gets into office...to be fair, all candidates do that...rarely do they alter the system...much...Obamacare was the most recent that had an impact...yet, the orange will try some...the banning of TikTok has already happened...what?...whatever that is...but, pull up your sox on this, the real number 1 agenda item...the rounding up of 'illegals'....shoot, most of you are 'illegals'...

The inauguration being moved indoors...something must be amiss...as the reasoning of too cold, just doesn't cut it...there must be some warning about...you see, I don't trust the word that they give...just wait, this whole 4 year term, will be filled with nonsense and false info...

Pop the popcorn...take out a beer or two...and watch the show...that is, if you are not an 'illegal'...

OK, the Horse watched game #1....KC beating Houston...yes, it's true...the flags seem to protect Mahomes a bit more than other QB's...the Chiefs won...the Chiefs were better...and woah for the bettor, the self inflicted safety at the end...cost a whole lot of cash for those who took the Chiefs, minus 9 1/2...they won by 9...think there wasn't a bunch of Vegas peops screaming at the screen?...some happy and some sad...er, mad...don't ever...never...bet on the NFL...

Game #2...I didn't watch...but it was an upset...the Commandoskins beat the Lions...did not see that happening...as did many others...

Today's games...Rams at Eagles...snow?...pulling for LA...and the beaut of them all...Ravens at the Bills...snow?...pulling for Buffalo...I dunno, that's at least 6 hours of staring at the pixels...

It looks like the hostages are going to be released...starting with 3 women...man, I bet they have stories to tell...let's hope that the truce lasts...so they ALL can be released...

Finally...I have told this true story before...but it applies now...when we first moved down here to SD, we often walked over to the bay....and sat on a bench at nite...so peaceful and relaxing...one such night...we heard a whistle...and did not notice that 2 US ships were passing one another...like right in front of us...without making any other sound...just the whistle...2 ships passing in the night...

Thus far, I have not heard a whistle for the present 2...
