A Day of Reckoning?

Good morning, kids...this Friday the 10th of January, 2025...going to start with SCOTUS...as they voted to allow the lower court to go on...and sentence trump for his 34 counts...to say that surprised me, is an understatement...5-4...which means the orange has to be tagged forever, as a felon...let that sink in for a second...the Prez-Elect is a Felon...apparently, going to do his rehab in the White House...

Top that off, but yet another court, has overturned his very own Judge Eileen Cannon's judgment of sealing the Jack Smith's papers...for some odd reason, I have always thought that they would eventually be leaked...all, this in the days before his inauguration...

Did you see the funeral of Prez Carter?...the former and present Prez's and VP's were all there...some with their spouses...just an awkward combo of sneering looks...the newish guy, is not too well liked (or respected) by the others...if the judgment was done by the video of the first 3 rows...

Punting...

Is what Penn St should have done late in the game...talking the semis with Notre Dame...just a terrific match...ended with a game winning FG by the Irish...but, THE PLAY was by the Nittany Lions...in the last minute, tried a prayer pass over the middle, that was intercepted...in a time of killing the clock and going to OT...this will haunt the OC forever...kudos to ND, who made it payoff...and a trip to the finals...

Texas and Ohio St today...as the pundits have this a toss up...not the Horse...it's a 10 point whomp by the Buckeyes...bet a hundred quid on this ...start counting your winnings right now...ah, really, never ever bet what I tell ya...

The Fires...

Still raging...the estimated stats thus far...over 10,000 structures burned to the ground...10 dead...containment, is still low...as the winds are to kick back up later in the week...like Monday...a lot of work to be done before then...for you who are unaware, we live way south of this...in San Diego...

Is it just me, or...are the new sources not showing us where and how this is changing?...one source said there was a new fire erupting...did not say where...hmmm...and the inference is that all of these, are set by arsonists...we have not had rain for some time...it is brittle all around here...and there...

The video of the drive that we have made countless times...via HWY 1...thru Malibu...all those homes are gone...all the way down to the ocean...such a tragedy...so very sad...

We have just caught on to 'Designated Survivor'...Kiefer Sutherland...not sure how we missed it back when...has peaked the interest of us...we are now officially hooked...

So many 'stars' have lost their homes via the LA fires...mostly in Pacific Palisades...along with so many others....which just goes to show...there is no perfect place to live...

The here and now...

Back to the courts...just what is going to be the 'sentence?'...the World will be watching and judging for themselves...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
