Good morning, kids...back from the desert...and we had a gala time...gala?...well, a great stay...met up with some amigos from the past...and the talk was great...BUT, the BEST was...the concert...we have seen many of them...no ideas of the number...in the hundreds for sure...this time we may have seen and heard...the BEST of them all...

LeeAnn Rimes...yup, the gal who started with her monster hit 'Blue', 31 years ago...the voice...is better than ever...her stage presence?...terrific...as she gave reasons why she wrote or sung her songs...so informative...kept a constant banter going on with the crowd...brought tears to Boss's eyes more than once...yes, that impactful...

As the show was in the latter stages...LeeAnn said that she had already put up her Christmas Cree, ah, she laughed and meant tree...probably her only mistake of the evening... on election nite...so she could get herself out of her mood...the doldrums...as the Horse went ballistic...stood up and clapped like...well, we did the same...change the mood what was happening...er, happened...

It was just a short time thereafter...a couple next to us...got up...disgruntled...odd, as they were boogying up til then...they were Magas...and this was no longer acceptable...off they went to the exit...I looked around...this was NOT the sentiment of this crowd...good riddance...

Little did we know, this was all part of a hot air balloon festival...in Cathedral City...the area was slammed...vendors, like in a fair...we had no idea...we have circled the date, and will seek it our for next year, too...

BTW, earlier in the day, we went shopping the streets of downtown Palm Springs...have NEVER EVER seen so many people there...

Anyhoo, we are back...off the Horse goes golfing...the week of Thanksgiving...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......
