Back to LA


The delight of catching a game with your son...makes no difference of the outcome of the game...just to be there was so cool...rad...awesome...the bomb...far out....well, far out was the play of the home team Friars...had a game to lose, and that's what happened...the fans?...raucous...the team?...flat...and the deservedly winning team?...the Bums, well not last nite, they were the Dodgers...won the game with terrific pitching, defense, and booming bats...all that the Padres did NOT HAVE!...so, back to LA for the decider on Friday...let's hope the real Friars show up for that one...

Over on the other coast...the hurricane that hit Florida...turns out it was massive, but not the turn of the century one that some were predicting...just now looking at the destruction left behind...that state is so vulnerable for that storm surge....and it will only get worse, I fear...warm waters....

I keep wondering the why's...very little coverage of the Ohio St at Oregon matchup for Saturday...what is the reasoning?...am curious about the 3 1/2 point line on it, too...guess we shall just have to wait and see...have my PNW reporter, Snooki, on the game...to give you first hand info...

A hint from the Horse...nobody is mentioning Indiana...take a peek at their scores...they have been walloping all opponents...Nebraska is next for them...then, the Dawgs...if they get thru them, then we have a new team to be looking at for real...

Doo wah Diddy...so much info about him, and no names...lots of insinuations...but, no names...weird...

You looking at the polls?....as per usual, depends on who is polled...but, also, per usual, this race is close...always is...regardless of the candy men and women...'I'll be danged if I ever vote for a ( republican or democrat)....'....take a look at the person, people...c'mon...

Oh my...trump's idea of raising $...take advantage of the evangelicals out there....have Bibles printed with his name on 'em...of course, he is far from being one himself...but, anything for cash...turns out that he had them printed in China...yup...

An observation...being at the game...is diff, much diff from the comfy confines of the couch...the exhilaration from the crowd, is cool...but, guessing where pitches are, is frustrating...so used to instant replays...at home...and nothing, ain't nothing cheap...at the ball yard...$20 buck beers...however, being there with your son...no price too much for that...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
