Serendipity


When you decide to enter the drawing for a lottery....buy a tix for $5...knowing full well, the odds of you winning, is astronomical...against you...then, why on earth would you purchase it?...you then feel like "I am feeling mighty lucky today"...perhaps...you may be...but, isn't that more of a serendipitous feeling more so?...it could happen...it may happen...and what if it does?...is it more of a dream?...

I suppose it is similar to a bet on a horse race...like the Pick 6...which will probably cost you a lot more than a 5 spot...the odds are against you, but the prize seems well worth the shot...or you may be a parlay punk in football...not sure exactly, but most of those tix are sold in Vegas...don't deal with bookies, so have no idea...

Whatever, it is a gamble to make riches, if it is your Serendipity Day...funny how the word 'pity' is included in that English word...wonder if the maker, had that in mind...ah, whoever made all these words up?...

Hmmm, most of our language has ancient Anglo-Saxon or Latin origins...according to the ta-ta theory, humans made the earliest words by tongue movements that mimicked manual gestures, rendering them audible...I guess you can start it all, by studying etymology...the study of the origin of words...

Serendipity...I wonder who actually made this word up?...who was the man or woman, who did this?...was this his only word?...ha ha, or her only word?...I do know, for a fact, that a woman invented the word 'no!'...

Pivoting...

The wild wild Wild West...all the 3 combatants won last eve...yes, and I think that the series in LaLa Land at the end of this 2 weeks, with the Friars invading...might be for all the marbles...oooeee, fun stuff...

I find it awfully crazy, that so much is being made of the NFL teams, after just 2 games...c'mon...let the team breathe...can this coach, bench this player, and on and on...well, the USA masses love this gladiator sport...and back to the betting, do so on these games more than other...sports...

One of my fav parts of XM the 60's is when the DJ (from San Diego), Pat St John, reads the birthdays of the famous, now and who have deceased on the date...yesterday, one caught my fancy....the 84th birthday of Frankie Avalon...'Venus' an all time favorite for most all of that era...and mine...

We, for the 1st time, for the heck of it, played the red tees...I felt like a foo, and played like one, too...yes, time for a week off from the 'game'...

DWTS...we have it on Demand...yet to watch....I bleep out the judges silly comments...and just watch the 'dancing'...who are these 'stars' this time around?...Olympian or two, the gal who just got out of prison...a bacherolette....a retired hooper...some elder dude...and a gal who was famous cuz of her father...egads...stars?...

Yes, my good friends...tomorrow is our 50th Anniversary...wild, huh...and we will be spending it with the kids...thx, Boss...I lurve you...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
