Fly Away


Morning, kids...ah, the sunshine is out...the weather is clear...the morning aroma is perfect...too soon for Richard Walker's pancakes, I reckon...which does permeate the air all around us...that sweet smell...agonizing for us who can't have them...I do have some form of Keto cakes, but last time I tried 'em, it was a simple 'no, no'...almond flour?...something like that...I settle for Grape Nuts and a nanner....

We are prepping for the great get away...up to the Pacific Northwest...gonna 'Fly Away'...this time, in lieu of taking Cosmo...who I have been told, is pissed...he likes the journey...man, we have so much crammed in to the time there, I don't know how it can be done...we are renting a SUV (I think)...we are going to Salem, Lincoln City, and then Bend...egads, with stops with as many friends as possible...anyhoo, we are really looking forward to it...the one problem...how we have changed in appearance...a downer for the ego...'man, you sure look older'...when we haven't seen them Oregonians for years...

Speaking of planes...your guy, Just Dum Vance...scheduled his arrival at the same time as Harris/Walz...on the tarmac...and was ripe for a statement, that he wanted to see his plane, that he would have after the election...listen, dude, it was not a Southwest, which is the only one that you will be riding...BTW, did you see that Southwest Air is quitting their cattle call way of seating?...going to assign seats...like real soon...good, as I hated the way they did it...

Da duh Da duh...the games back from the Bums...now 3...as is the DBacks...we won a head scratcher, and Arizona swept the Indians (oops, Guardians)...and the Phillies clobbered LA in LA...sweetness...we have one more today, at Pitt...and the Phillies invade Phoenix...the Bums are off...

Olympics...guys hoops...big game today...a nooner our time...Serbia and USA...of course, must win...

How this world can deal with the constant threat of tragedy...the plot of terrorists to kill as many people as they could at a Taylor Swift Concert...fuggit about the ages...17 and 19...it's the acts of inhumanity that they strive for...many of the mass shooters, are teens...they want to kill innocent people...soldier to soldier, I understand...these two, were recently hired as security...oh my...

The White Sox...did win, and the streak is over at 21...alas, they lost the next game...and now, the Mgr got the axe...it was...inevitable...

The news is sketchy...but, the word out...is that Ukraine forces attacked inside Russia yesterday...I had no idea that they were that strong...?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
