The ultra dangerous side of running for a political office...the crazed people who may try to...assassinate...and it happened again...by now, you have seen the video of the latest attempt of taking a politicians life...that of Trump...who is ultra lucky to be alive now...which begs the question, why on earth would anyone want this particular job...the presidency...

Of course, it took half a day, before the news got out...who did it, why, and where was he...well, we still don't know why...he was on a rooftop, some 400 feet away from his target...he was but 20 years of age...used a rapid fire weapon...and by all accounts, I have read...he was instantly neutralized...

In the aftermath, I noticed the massive amount of protection that was at this rally...that tells me, you, the candidate, are never really safe from the attempted assassin...if there is a will, there is a way...office buildings, rooftops, motel rooms, parades, kitchens, what have I missed?...the sites of other assassination attempts, or worse...accomplished acts of killing...

The thought for the day...it is apparent that Trump is indeed OK...but, the nerves of something like that, will or can, get to your psyche...it would me...

Pivoting...

Baseball is a funny game...the beauty of it is...there is always another one tomorrow...it's not a fray that you have once a week, and then try to figure out what just happened...all week long...it's the next day...so, the Friars on a 5 game losing streak...turned right around and got a 4-0 big W, against the always tuff Atlanta Braves...celebrate?...nah, there is another one today...

In the W...the other rookie of the league, seemingly...Chicago's Angel Reese...was a bucket away from extending her double double streak...as her mates were trying to get her the rock in the closing seconds of their loss to the Liberty...and the NY team tripled her...and that was that...amazing her stats, as she hardly gets off the ground...the star of the game, was UO's Sabrina, with 28 points...

The Scottish Open...links golf...fun to watch...weather is not so fun...and the leaders are familiar names...Ludvig Aberg (Sveden) is extremely likable...his pace of play is fast, and carries a smile on his face...like he enjoys his job...doesn't he know it's golf?...hardest game in the world...

Saw this bit on acronyms...do you know what WIFI is really?...JPEG?....PDF?...here you go...I didn't, and was amazed I just used them...without their real words...WIFI is wireless fidelity...JPEG is joint photographics experts group, and PDF is portable document format...and this one...DUH...dang ugly horse...

You recall Late Night with David Letterman?...a couple of blogs ago, I mentioned Darlene Love of the Blossoms...do you also recall, that she came on his show EVERY CHRISTMAS time and sang her hit, 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)'?....a fact...

Love Christmas time...

Well, it is Sunday...so you know it...it's Monster Sudoku time!...going for number 47...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......
