State of the Union



The night belongs to Prez B, as he will give his 'State of the Union' address...for the first time, the House chair will not be Nancy Pelosi, well, in a long time...another Cali person, Kevin McCarthy...fills the void...er, seat, behind the Prez...sitting along side him is the VP Harris...we live in divisional times, kids...thus, really hard to please the masses...

McCarthy is a name from the 60's era...Gene, a Senator from Minnesota...who was running for Prez, after JFK was assassinated, and LBJ gave up the position...definitely the choice of the young at the time...well, until RFK entered the race...both wanting to get out of Vietnam...

The Horse used the 'State of the Union' address back when he was coaching hoops...ha ha, it probably was received just as well as Prez B's version will be...the last Wednesday of the regular season...oh well, I had fun doing what I was prepared to do...

The horrible numbers of the dead...in Syria and Turkey...have risen from 1500 to 5100!...due to the earthquake...a huge time of sorrow for those people...and those who remain...

Turning to the NBA...some quick takes...1.  The Mavericks with their new add of Kyrie, are in for real internal fight...2.  Golden St showed immense team play in their smashing of OKC last eve...3.  Milwaukee throws more 3 balls up then I ever practiced them...as they made short work of PDX...4.  If you ever find an NBA player playing D, give him a 'chain', like they do in football...5.  The LaLa Lakers, regardless of where they are in the standings, still get more people watching 'em than any other team...

Did you happen to see and hear Madonna at the Grammy's?...oh my, one of the Horse's top 5, er bottom 5, human beings...just plain nasty...how do I really feel?...bet you can name at least one more on my list...

Justin Rose won the Pebble Beach thang...been a while for a W for the lad...and Aaron Rodgers (yea, that one) was the amateur winner there...egads, a 10 hdcp?...there are doubters...sandbagger...so some  are saying...like, even the Pros...

If they would give the Horse a voting spot for the Grammy's, Bad Bunny would NEVER get my tally...

THE dance song of my era, that changed the swing to not touching...two peops gyrating...'The Locomotion' by Little Eva....written by Goffen/King...yea, Carole King...made me a real player, I tell ya...

Who do you have for the Sooooper Bowl?...Philly or KC?...the Eagles mowed down their side...but, the KC side is much tougher...thus, the Chiefs get my nod...do not ever bet on the NFL...

The replay of...JLo and Ben at the Grammy's is...funny...priceless...telling...hilarious...how these two are still together is a scream...he wanted no part of it...she told him otherwise...and then turned a frown to a smile, when she saw she was on camera...ha ha...'get me outta here!'...don't blame you, Ben...happy Valentines Day...

We have started a new series 'The Snow Girl'...I guess from Spain...good enough to hook us...6 episodes and we have seen 2...Netflix...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
