My Baby Shot Me Down (Bang Bang)

There are many that last a long time in the biz...unfortunately, the numbers have been dwindling of the finest era of music...well, in the eyes of the Horse...50's thru the early 70's...might be cuz that was in me hey days...who knows...but, one who has thrived is the singer of Bang Bang... 'My Baby Shot Me Down'...CHER...my fav of all, was her and Sonny...'I Got You, Babe'...through many changes in her appearance and all, she still has the it factor...even was a splendid movie star...very impressive gal for sure...

The shot down thing, has to do with the destroying of the now pretty certain...ah ha...Spy Balloon of the Chinese...the US did so, just off the coast of North Carolina...wondering where this going to lead...in the short aftermath, it has been revealed that this is not a new thang of theirs...thrice they have sent the balloons over the country during trumps' much too long squat in the White House...he kept telling Prez B to 'shoot it down'...which he did NOT do, when HE had the chance...how did we not know this?...a UFO?...what we don't know...

Tonight we have another awards show...the Grammys...do I watch?...nope, the Horse has no idea who these cats are...and the music?...egads, just ry to stumble on a radio channel that has the 'hits' on it...thump...duh...thump...whatever...

The clam bake at Pebble Beach...was delayed due to the awful weather...finish either today or tomorrow...playing golf, north of LA...all the way up the coastline can be brutal...did that enuff in me earlier days...no longer...this weather down here in SoCal, just perfect for these old bones...

For you that think you are chefs...first of all, do not watch 'The Menu'...ha ha...trust the Horse on this...but, I have found a method of cooking the bone in turkey breast that is divine...crock pot...put gobs of cut up onion on the bottom...splash whole heartedly them, with some form of stock...lay the breast down on that...butter it fine...sprinkle what ever spice you want on it...the butter holds the spices on...6 hours on low...VOILA!...perfection...

It was 23 years ago today, that the Dixie Chicks had their number one hit 'Cowboys, Take Me Away'...since, they have been shunned by country radio...broke up and then made up,,,changed their name to be politically correct to 'The Chicks'...you know how I feel about this...keep the original name...it's like telling the radio, never ever play the Charlie Daniels Band's 'The South is Gonna Do It Again'...c'mon...

Yesterday, over at Petco Park...the Friars had a meet and greet with the Padres....'Fan Fest'...to tell you there is extreme anticipation for this upcoming season, is a hint...the massive crowd was delirious...this is gonna be some type of year, kids...strap it on...goose bumps...
