Vacay Ends


All good things must come to an end…Vegas…must say I could not handle this type of heat too long…the pool is a must…plus a thousand of my closest friends…BTW, the Bismarkians found us in the water, and promptly came over to talk…nice peops, but as usual, I will never understand forevers…

Luck had turned south on moi, until I hit the horses…saved the day…the problem?…on the big screen was the Bums…there are noisy, boisterous Dodger fans all over LV…booo…

If I were to rate Mon Ami Gabi, and I am, it was a D…cold bread, wilty lettuce, and forgettable chicken…BL’s french onion soup was lukewarm…the service was the only good thang…our last time there…

Then…a walk to the Bellagio…to see the flowers…ah, no…they are in construction…no flowers…wasted effort in the heat…my gawd, the heat!…

The hit of the day was Carrie…Underwood…and Resorts World… a year young and fresh everywhere…we ate at a new joint, Brezza… at the bar…no res…unique Italian food…

Then the show…how she can deliver with such passion is a true gift…amazing…being on stage the same place during her residency, gives the Vegas glitz to it…not enough brilliant adjectives to describe her performance…

There was a problem…the Horse lost his glasses…how and where, don’t know…who does this?…the Horse…

Anyhoo, we fly back this afternoon…Boss Lady can you see the signs?…I see nuttin’…

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
