The Fall

I suppose one could see the blog title of the day, and take that a few ways...perhaps, negative...naw...I'm talking the season...it is noticeably cooler here in south SoCal...and I lurve it...windows open at nite, with the cool fresh air blowing on us...speaking of US...this is our 47th Wedding Anniversary!...yea, go figure...I am the luckiest guy there is...as I jokingly ask others, 'is that consecutive?'...yup, it is...

We celebrate with an Eddie V's evening...with our PNW super senior citizen accompanying us, Snooki...who is flying in for the Boz Concert, which is tomorrow eve at Humphreys...I guess after 47, it doesn't necessarily mean quiet, alone time...ha ha...besides, we have 5 new bourbons to give the taste test to...Marsh doesn't like the stuff, so she will be the guest moderator, you know, like the dudes and dudettes for Jeopardy...blind tastes...he just sent his song for the day, and how apropos it is 'Come Fly With Me' by Frank Sinatra...

Thinking over the past couple of years, we have lost some very good friends...like their lives have been cut short...not sure if Covid is involved or not...but many have been readers of the Horse...it's just sad...listen, kids...live your life to the fullest...and, tell your mates that you love them...and your family...life can be very hard to figure out...and way too brief...

You think that tragedy is just in the USA?...think again...at a Moscow University, a killer went on a spree and killed at least 8 and injured many more...it still baffles me how people take other peoples lives so freely...like takes them from the earth...I just don't get it...

The remains of that Gabby gal, apparently has been found in Wyoming...the fiancé is still missing...just a waste of life...why?...

Over 30 people shot in Chicago this past weekend...in a non-stop barrage of gun fire and lives taken...we must do better...

The Ducks have moved up the AP Poll to number 3...egads...really?...UO hosts Arizona this weekend...if all the dudes play, iff, this could be a stomp...a Bristol Stomp....

The once mighty Padres lost all the games in Saint Looey...all of them...and the curtain is closing fast...article today in the Trib about the changes needed...the Mgr will certainly be gone...BUT, the real culprit, AJ Preller, will probably keep his job..,.too bad, as he is the bloke who got the players...pitching his downfall...and I still am flabbergasted that he got rid of Reyes and Renfroe, who are having banner years for Cleveland and Boston...nobody is talking about that...

The NFL...just saying, that I have no dawg in the race...but, the refs have been brutal...the back judges in particular...hmmm, when is the last time there have been charges of game fixing in the league?...has there ever been?...a lot of cash is bet on these games, kids...anyhoo...the games already are too close to call...however, the Bucs seem solid again...the Rams won, but did not look like week 1...the Chargers got hosed...went to bed and did not see the Seahawks lose...how?...Balt beat KC, in a shocker...and the Pats won easily...
