The Father's Day


Remembrances...of times past...the 'here and now' is so important, kids...we take it for granted...that 'they' will always be in their home...doing their thing...answering your letters (well, that may be the only way they know), taking your phone calls (landline), or, if they are hip...reading your emails, your texts, and taking your cell phone calls...even, the 'live' video chats...do this...if 'they' are still with us...make sure you contact 'them'...however 'they' can get them...pictured above, is my father and our son, Cris...

I see on the web net, so many peops posting of their pappy from whenever...it is part of life, kids...get with the program and make contact...while you still can...OK, my sermon is over...now, let's just enjoy the day...watching golf and beisbol...ha ha...

The mighty(!) Padres are back at it...won their 3rd straight at home last eve...exciting form...as Jr went down with an injury...replaced by the South Korean Kim...who then turned out to be the hero, blasting a 2 run home run to win the game for SD...fun stuff...and we have one more with Cincy today...then the bloody Bums come in...

The US Open...out at Torrey...is going to be a doozy of a finish...so many blokes within a few strokes...an angle that is quite evident, that no one else has said...analyst Paul Azinger "the game has changed, no longer just hitting the fairway is the way to play...now, you just hit it as far as you can, and play it from wherever"....ha, that's what I have done for years...the Englishman, Bland was doing the former...and getting lapped...he hit most every fairway, and was 40+ yards behind Henley...eventually he faded...

Going into the final round...Henley, Louie, and McKenzie Hughes are leading at -5...lurking...DeChamboo, Rory, Wolf, Scheffler, and RAHM!...expect some great play from these dudes...

How about this...Mother's Day was 'invented' in 1907...and Father's Day, not until 1972...endorsing it was none other than Prez Richard Nixon!...see, something other than Watergate...

The DBacks are now sad possessors of 16 straight losses...

Yea, well...I love this day...had breakfast made for moi by the lil wurman...got a good nite 'happy father's day' from our son...a card from the wife...(ecard), you see I am hip...there is a present staring at me in the alcove...one that is 'in the mail', too...have a massage at 10...then, the sports stuff...and a meal (with them Mackles) at Eddie V's...sounds great?...you betcha...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
