Surprise Surprise Surprise

Who'd a thunk it?...ten of the best NBA dudes playing hard...defense...creating shots...taking charges...belly aching at the inept officiating...having purpose for what has normally been a free for all...show...which is exactly the way it started...unguarded shots...countless dunks...laughing and clowning around a lot...then the Kobe 4th Q came up...

As Jim Nabors would say (Gomer Pyle)...'Surprise Surprise Surprise!!!'...the game got interesting...it took on the format of a true playoff match...pride and charity money took over the brain waves of the pros...one on one stare downs...use of the 24 second clock...hey, it was true fun...and luckily I turned it on...which I was not gonna do, after the 1st 3 Q's...Lebron's team won, by a FT...yup, that close...I will say, the MVP (Kawhi Leonard) was deserved, and the ONLY guy who could create his own shot...

At the same time was the collegiate game...UO hosting Utah...for moi, the best the Ducks have played all season...not sure if it is cuz of the opponent, or they were just on...but they are showing more than just Pritchard, which they must...he can't carry them to the Big Dance, alone...a 4 star game...

The LaLa Open...yowser, the best in the biz, were scrambling about...somebody had to win...or emerge...turned out to be the Aussie Adam Scott...who had won the event a couple of years back, in a 36 rain shortened event...the PGA did not 'recognize' that win...stupid...should have regardless of the length...can't mess with Mother Nature...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
