The Civil War

Bragging rights?...that is what is said throughout the nation, as the arch rivals of all the states play this weekend...well, it may be state to state...you KNOW what I mean...not so much down here in SoCal South...but, up in Oregon, you betcha...as the Beavers invade Autzen Stadium for the 123rd version of their CIVIL WAR...and this just may be one of the better ones...

Fuggit about the 20 point favoritisms that the Vegas Boyz have on the game...no way, dudes...take the points and RUN...bet some quid on that...ah, a quid?...er, a pound or two...well, a C note for sure...lots of Euros...

Some others that have got me on the lookout...Michigan and Ohio St...as the Wolverines have been playing a lot better...but, when the stress of finally beating someone you haven't...well, the odds improve for the fav...figure the Buckeyes will win....the same sort of thang, happened in the Apple Cup yesterday...the WSU Cougs just can't beat the Dawgs...nope...the D Coordinator of UW even got brash last year and said that as long as HC Mike Leach is there in Pullman, the Dawgs will win...they rush 3 and drop 8, and hit the heck out of the guys that catch the drop off passes...interesting...and it worked again yesterday...

Auburn and 'Bama...close?...nope, the Tide is loaded and will make a case for a playoff spot with another win...Oklahoma and OSU...another that has many implications on the top 4...in the BSBCS poll...I like the Sooners, a lot...will they get in?...well, they have to get by today, which they will...high scoring, I reckon...Georgia and GT...the Yellow Jackets are in a transition of styles...and Georgia may have the best D in the country...laugher...

Here is the catch....all the teams that I have mentioned that will or should win...Ohio St, 'Bama, Oklahoma, and Georgia...all of them...are on the road...hostile crowds...and this little tidbit...which has been said about so many times when I have watched the Civil War...'throw out the wins and losses, in this game...'...

Regardless, should be good viewing...

Hoops...please listen to moi...the SDSU Aztecs are sneaky good...beat Iowa...which is a good team...they will just get better and better...OK, over in the NBA...the LaLa Lakers won their 10th straight...over a very bad Wizard team...very, very bad...but, the Lake Show is intimidating and tough...PDX won their 3rd in a row...Melo is fitting in...I keep saying this, but the 4 out and 1 in, just may work...

Dang if it isn't pay them damn bills again day...these months seem to just fly by....

We watched the Thanksgiving Shows of Cheers and Friends last eve...yup, they were so funny...the writing, er script, was so clever...guess that is easier after the characters are established...right?...the Brad Pitt appearance on the Friends episode was absolutely hilarious!...'The I hate Rachel Green Club'...with the co-founder, Ross Goeller...you MUST find it and watch it...that good...and the Cheers one...'the bird is still not done...'...Norm...I bet they only had ONE take on the food fight...

This is odd...but, we have had our Xmas deco up for a couple of weeks...and I don't think we have had anyone up to the pad to see it...ha ha...it's all about for us...and I am OK with this...have noticed that more and more peops have been putting their displays up now...we were just a bit early...

Booked!...Vegas baby...to the Mirage we go...got comped one night, too...you know, with all the bets the Horse makes...got tix to the one and only Cher...at the MGM...in early 2020...but, I found this troublesome...the flights...

Frontier Airlines...has an attractive offer that was far below Southwest...until you dig deeper...and start adding up the price of the seats...what?...yes, the price they start with is for the flight...ah, without the seat...then add on the carry on price...you see where I am going with this?...but YOU do get a pre-bought seat...instead of a number...turns out that Southwest was cheaper...live and learn...

Yup, Marsh made the beans and ham...way tasty...couple that with Costco French baguettes, and a chunk of sharp Tillamook cheese...makes a meal that can't be duplicated...

It appears that the rain has left us...lots of tstorms and the thunder just north of us...we were spared...did get the wet stuff, although...'we needed it'...SCREAM!...

Finally, lets traverse through what is left for the UO Ducks...beat the Beavs...OK, if they win out...that means, Utah, too...it is the Rose Bowl...if they lose...and Utah gets in to the final 4 (long shot, unless they STOMP the Ducks), then UO gets the Rose also...but...the probability is that Utah will get the Rose, and the Ducks either go to the Alamo or the Holiday...my good friend from the PNW,' it is the Rose or nothing at all...'...well, not so fast my good friend, if it is the Holiday, that means they are in my home park...and ya'll have to get a tix down here...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

O Yeah!

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter...
