The gig is to have others play their music...to 'HONOR' them...it is quite cool and very classy...hence, Donny not being there...I digress...there were some wonderful renditions of the songs that made these people so warranted...from Kelly Clarkson to Brooks and Dunn to Little Big Town to Cyndi Lauper...but the best of the best was the Cher song 'Believe' performed by Adam Lambert...which even brought tears to the eyes of Cher...you MUST hear it...haunting...
As I was a writing yesterday, I normally have my fill of Trump's Tweets to ponder through...but, alas, NONE!...might he be sick?...did his Wi-Fi go down?...White House lose power?...his Tweeter dude accidentally put in the Government Shut Down?...the answer was...he and his present wife, Melania, were secreting a trip to visit our troops in Iraq...OK...the press was making a big deal that he was the ONLY Prez that hasn't visited our military during the Holiday Season...thus, his(their) flight...
Was that the reason for the 1,000 point jump in the Stock Market?...the people thought he was gone?...ha ha...don't cash the check yet, kids...the word is out is that he is back...and the Market is gonna fall today...just knew it was too good to be true...I could go on, but naw, just listen to the pixels unravel the propaganda that he threw at the troops...which were, as per usual, lies...
The intercept bowl...these ridiculous, monotonous, college football games...with teams that are barely 500...no worse than the one out of 'Zona...where TCU (geez, that coach is gonna have a coronary) and Cal, belabored the point of mediocrity...there were NINE interceptions in the game...and, of course, it was an OTer...where an interception was the point of doom for the Golden Bear...oh yea, there was one of them bowl games that was canceled...the weather was too dangerous to play the game...and the schools involved, announced that they would refund the price of the tickets to those 689 people who purchased them...
Not sure if I have ever seen the amounts of collegiate football bowlers NOT play in the games...some for saving themselves for the NFL, and some for disciplinary reasons...none worse than at Clemson, where the players failed a drug test...what?...however, one that is playing and staying the course, the QB from the UO Ducks, Herbert...which does make them a real force for the bowl and for NEXT season...it's a good thing...
