Feel Good Story

Once in a while, a feel good story happens...this time it is in the field of golf...at the legendary, and quite expensive Pebble Beach GC...the winner, was a lefty...not THE Lefty....alias, Phil Mickelson...but the so poorly named pro golfer...'a journeyman'...who grinds it out every week...you know, like the every day worker, anywhere...rarely wins, but plods along...

In the Pro Golf world...you have to do enough to keep your PGA card...like win...or make lost of $ finishing in the top ten, or at least in the top tier...don't and you have to go back to qualifying...school...to earn the right to play in these T's...sometimes, blokes will go over seas to other tours...some will qualify just enough to get to the JV tour...now called the 'Web.com'...

Ted Potter, Jr is one of these guys...put it all together this weekend to WIN at Pebble...outlasting a slew of established characters, ie, DJ, Jason Day, the red hot Chez Revie, and others...won by 3...been like 6 years since he won on the PGA Tour...his only other W...in the meantime...he struggled...broke his ankle...and actually was on the Web.com Tour one of those years...and MISSED all 24 cuts in that season!....this is a perfectly named 'journeyman'...

In the aftermath of the win, his interview was filled with choked up pride...and relief...that he fulfilled his life long passion...being good enough to get the victory on the PGA Tour...again...his voice cracked, his eyes teared up, and we all were enamored with this FEEL GOOD STORY!...

Other...

The renewed Cleveland Cavs...with their new cast of players...4 newbies...had a field day in Boston...wait, in Boston?...not a good sign for the east...what they have, one or two practices?...maybe this practice thing is highly over-rated...hey, that's what A.I. said years ago...

I have watched about 2 minutes of the Winter Olympics thus far...should I be?...can't get me self to do so...

You see, there are all these Vets in their very own practice facility ....just awaiting to get signed on to a MLB club...it will happen...the damn will break...and it will be fast and furious...maybe today...

Help me out here...I saw a pix of Kylie, just a few days after 'giving birth'...and she looked quite normal...gals, let me know...doesn't it take a bit of time for the body to get back to where it was prior to the pregnancy?...unless, someone wasn't really...something seems awkward here...not sure why I gave a rat's arse about this...

So the former West Winger, Rob Porter...and I'm not talking the TV version...has been accused of 'beating' his ex-wives by his ex-wives...this can't be good for him...or them...isn't he the dude who is dating Hope Hicks?...is that her real front name?...now THIS sounds like an Enquirer story, right?...nope, all from the real pages of the....well...Kellyanne Conway talked about it yesterday on CNN's 'State of the Union'...she somehow defended the dude...

This out of Colorado St...guys hoops...the head coach there was put on leave...he 'allegedly' coaches the old school style of berating his players...there was a revolt..and then, the school named an assistant to coach in the interim...ah ha...he was put on leave next...same situation...they are on coach number 3...listen, coaches, that horrific method is GONE!...done...treat your kids with respect...

The powers to be in that sport...who name the top 65 or so, for the Big Dance...let out their first 'maybe' bracket of the top 16...alas, two of their number ones in the 4 regions got beat this weekend...Villanova and Virginia...hey, it is a wide open affair...

You know, I still can't get over the Supreme Court's members...blatantly boycotting the Prez's 'State of the Union' address...they think they are above the law, that they decide on for the rest of us...to follow...this needs to be dealt with...maybe instead of wearing a black robe for six months, it should be turquoise...for the ones not in attendance...

We drove all the way to Sycuan for the Poco and Pure Prairie League concert...it was fun...PPL was the opening act...they had a tight band, that had some hits, that I recognized...Amie, for one...and then Poco...an original dude dominated...terrific musician...their best?...a Cajun style of 'Crazy Love'...really...cool...

You have 2 days to order the flowers, dudes...
