Bowling

You made your holiday travel plans yet?...'over the river and thru the woods, to grandmother's house we go'...are you fortunate to still have a granny?...if so, take advantage...kids...time goes so fast...anyway, I am also referring to the list of collegiate BOWL games that will be announced...like maybe Sunday...

My interest is in the Ducks and the Aztecs...where and just as important, when...all the host cities lay out quite a reception for the participants and their fans...parades, gatherings...shindigs...you got it...and usually...get this..usually, better weather...so, we are keeping an eye out...just a maybe...

Lots of rumors abound about the coaching carousel...which has the name of Taggart included...yup, the latest coach of UO...and he is already looking to leave?...what's with all the web net poses with the recruits and him, if he is wandering out?...supposedly, the Ducks have offered him a huge contract to stay...the connection is with Florida St...and if and when their present bloke moves on to Texas A&M...

Insider stuff...this out of my NW Buddy...both the present coaches of FSU (Jimbo Fisher) and UO (Willie Taggart) have the SAME agent...very interesting...

Got a new Xmas music CD...by Blake Shelton...are you in the festive mood yet?...if not, or if you are...buy this one...it is terrific and you will be happy...some real nice duets on it...the one with Reba is fun...

Well, I am finally on the mend...finally...slept thru the nite...and all the symptoms seem good...hip hip!...I just may get on out to the club later on...switch out me irons and...gulp...practice...gulp...a bit...yup, I am kinda weak...retching can be hard on a 70 yr old...oh my...

I have done zero amount of shopping...none...like for presents...zilch...nada...don't even know where to start...now, Marsh has...so as a group effort...we are right on...but, as a solo...nope...

One thing about living by the bay...you see all the ships coming and going...we have a neck craning view...but, we are able to see when the cruise ships dock....we have 2 this am...hmmm, maybe we should take a Christmas Cruise...

Watched an interesting, albeit poorly played NBA game last eve...Golden St at the LaLa Lakers...the Warriors were going thru the motions...figuring a sub-par effort would suffice against LA...maybe so...as they won in OT...but, their flaw is sticking out more and more...pressure them and they back away...oh yea, and the Ball kid got it going for a bit...hit 3 straight and showed there is promise there...I believe that...and Curry is the laziest PG in the league...way too many sloppy TO's...I have said this for like 2 years...there are too many teams closing the gap on them...

There maybe NO gap now...

Maybe it's a sign of the times...but our door to door newspaper has been absent for like 3 times in the past 2 weeks...is it that tough to get people to deliver it?...hmmm...I have threatened to cancel it and do like so many are doing now...get all the news from the web net...the subscription for the home delivery is NOT cheap...

It's hard to imagine a more beautiful time of the year...than now...so pretty and warm...with the Christmas Tree aglow at night...and seeing other units having theirs going...the walk at night is too cool for words...as we live in a sea of high rises...communities...it is amazing to imagine how this all works...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
