Pebble Beater

Top of the morning, kids...and it's supposed to be a beaut today and the REST of the week...hip hip hooray!...there is a constant in the PGA world...who is always in the mix...always...Jordan Spieth...

Texan and super confident...like real young...23 or so...and, right now is breezing at Pebble Beach...up 6...get that right...SIX strokes going into the final round...this is the tourney that also is mired in amateur pairings that play all the T...some famous cats like NE HC Bellychick, QB Rodgers of the Pack, swooner Justin Timberlake...oh yea, and the Cubbie fan, Bill Murray...and on and on...kind of cool and kind of long...still, the site is gorgeous when it is sunny...ha ha...

Jordan was dancing in the moonlight...as yup, it took that whole day to get the round done...hey, one thing...and it pops up in all games...er, rounds...when you or I or anyone, hits a ball that caroms like out of play...red staked...where you drop can be troublesome...there is no doubt in my group...always on the safe side...like back, way back...anyway, Dustin Johnson, on hole #18 had an illegal drop...clearly by the TV shot...but, he asked his playing partner, Jordan...and they came up with a huge advantage for him...up close to the green...hmmm...

Anyway, Spieth is developing into the 'it' player for the US of A...replacing you know who...can he hang on and get the W?...fun watching...

Oregon did rebound and win at USC...whew...really hard to do...after a terrific let downer of a game at Pauley...where they had a huge lead...and blew it...gulp...BTW, there is a teaser of what the NCAA may do for the selections to the Big Dance...the early top 16...the Ducks were a number 2 seed...and get this...no Big Ten in the top 16...hmmm....the Pac 12 had UO, UCLA, and 'Zona...you know, I kinda like Wildcats, they are huge...

Kev Durant went back to Oky City...no, he was not greeted warmly...however, the Warriors prevailed...and won in a walk...the pundits fav, Westbrook, had a myriad of turnovers yet again...listen boyz, it's who is leading the winning team that should be the MVP...says me...

I bet SNL loves their drawing board for their Saturday telecasts...give 16 or so comedic types a week to come up with material on this regime...they probably have to cut out quite a bit...right?...

We went out to eat last night in the GQ...man the area was slammed...the weather is turning back to normal...that brings the peops into the area...I kept thinking that there must be a festival of sorts, somewhere...

North Korea test fired yet another missile...yes, the entire world is watching you...now what?...who blinks first?...China, Russia, Japan, or the USA?...or South Korea?...

What's on the Beats this am?...Dean Martin live from Vegas...well, he was...lawdy he was one funny dude...terrific voice...

Which segways me into the Grammy's...tonite...Beyonce or Adele?...seems like they are in most of the nominations...hmmm...so is the Bieber...egads, really?....certainly not my genre...however, Keith Urban and Carrie are doing a duet...will record it to see and hear that...will the Weeknd be there?...or how about them talented KFam ladies?...c'mon...

Cuz I had to WD from golf yesterday (hammy), I was fodder for honey do's for Marsh...we went to the Mall of the Americas on the border...OMG!...it was absolutely packed...humongous lines...cars all over the place...when you think that them malls are on the outs, you'd rethink that...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
