Desperado

This is what I'm listening to on the Beats this am...the best of them Eagles...lawdy, they were good...so many great tracks...the one that I am featuring today is Desperado...one of Rolling Stones top 500 songs...really...

You know that is was never ever released as a single?...this was the days of the album having nothing but good stuff...in lieu of fillers...you oldsters know what I'm referring to...and good enough for others to record it...we call them 'covers'...which I like a lot...good songs...sung by others...I REALLY dig this...

The best were by...Linda Rondstadt...terrific version...Johnny Cash, with a background vocal of Don Henley (orig)....and gulp, Miranda Lambert...really...she did good on it...trust Horse...there were others, but this is the cream thus far...

A movie of the same name came out some years after...starring Anthony Banderas and that dude from  
the Sopranos...the guy with bad teeth....ha ha...and the Tex Mex looker, Salma Hayek...in '95...widely panned as near terrible...and no Eagles on it...boo....

Prez T has been roadblocked on his Travel Ban...and is debating a new version that will be more acceptable...hmmm, really? to whom?...he also has started his rounding up the bad dudes who are illegals...here we go...can he survive 4 years?...just a thought...

We saw the 'Girl On A Train' flick...through the Apple TV...cost $5.99...wonderful sound and picture...soooo much better than Netflix...that takes way too long to get the movies in their system....I'll probably cancel it...just after the last version of 'House of Cards'...here me, son?...you guys may have to order your own...ha ha...

The Warriors were in the nemesis town of Memphis...they were 0-2 versus them this season...no mas...as Golden State waltzed...Klay and the do everything dude, Draymond Green, were the leaders last nite...damn, they are goooood.....and today...the dreaded return trip by Kev Durant to his old team...in Oky City...I can't imagine getting booed where ever you go...lean on others, KD...

The worst owner in the NBA...the Knicks James Dolan...maybe he'll be going thru the same as KD in his OWN arena soon...just did the unthinkable...banished the legendary Charles Oakley from HIS stadium...c'mon NY, rise up against this pathetic guy...

So, this is the time that many of you (us) go out shopping for the perfect Valentine's gift for your significant other...right?...go to a diamond store...think you are getting a great rock at a competitive price...and then find this out...Kaye's...Zales...Jared's...you name it...are all owned by the SAME company...Signet...yup, kids...all them precious diamonds come from the same dude...did I rock your boat?...hint, try Costco...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed...
